Aim and Scope

Data Analysis and Applied Stochastic Modelling (DAASM) aims to serve as the interface between Applied Stochastic Modelling and Data Analysis and their applications particularly in Business Finance and Insurance Management and Production. The main objective is to publish papers both technical and practical presenting new results which have potential for solving real-life problems. Another objective is to present new methods for solving these problems by analysing the relevant data. Also the use of recent advances in different fields will be promoted such as new optimization and statistical methods data base management and knowledge acquisition expert systems computer-aided decision supports and neural computing. DAASM also publishes significant survey papers as well as papers that compare various relevant approaches for solving important problems. Guest editors will be invited from time to time to devote a section of the Journal to a special subject or theme. These special sections will include papers followed by comments and authors' reactions. The role played by the Journal as an interface between theory and practice means that it will be of great interest to those in both academic and business worlds. The high standard of the Journal will be guaranteed by the presence of an international Editorial Board. This will ensure the efficiency of the refereeing procedure.

 Aim and Scope

The Journal Applied Data Analysis and Modern Stochastic Modelling (ADA&MSM)publishes articles that make a major contribution to the development of applied data analysis and modern stochastic models. In articles devoted to the analysis of big data, stochastic modeling tools plays an important role. Publications that present the results of research on applied data analysis and which present effective solutions to business problems as the implementation of theoretical and conceptual foundations and new algorithms are mainly considered. The stages of processing, analysis, modeling and interpretation of data of an arbitrary type on the way to obtaining valuable information for solving a specific problem are essential. Another direction of publications will be articles on stochastic models and methods for analyzing applied data and their various generalizations. Publications on mathematical analysis, stochastic differential and integro-differential equations of integer and fractional orders of derivatives, and probability theory are also considered important.

Corrections to Published Work:

Honest errors are a part of research and publishing and require publication of a correction when they are detected. We expect authors to inform the Journal’s Editor of any errors of fact they have noticed or been informed of in their article once published. Corrections are made at the journal’s discretion. The correction procedure depends on the publication stage of the article, but in all circumstances a correction notice is published as soon as possible. Details can be found on the Call for Papers section of the journal website.

Retractions: Retractions are considered by journal editors in cases of evidence of unreliable data or findings, plagiarism, duplicate publication, and unethical research. We may consider an expression of concern notice if an article is under investigation. All retraction notices will explain why the article was retracted. The retraction procedure depends on the publication stage of the article.
